Situated
between the towns of Castelló
d ' Empúries and
Sant Pere Pescador.
It is a humid space of nearly 4800
hectares where you can see more
than 300 bird species and a large
number of native flora.
It
spreads along the municipalities
of Port de la Selva,
Selva de Mar, Llançà,
Cadaqués,
Pau, Roses,
Palau Saverdera, and Vilajuïga.
It is a rugged coastline of deep
sea, cliffs and coves of transparent
water, some of them only accessible
from the sea.

The
small archipelago of Les Medes,
in the municipality of Torroella
de Montgrí, is made
up of six islands with a very rich
marine ecosystem. 1350 animal and
plant species have been catalogued
so far. Favoured by its proximity
to the mouth of Ter River, it attracts
many researchers who study it by
heart and make this marine reserve
one of the most important in the
Mediterranean and the largest in

Ses
Negres marine reserve, in Begur,
is 80 hectares wide. A space delimited
by buoys, a navigation channel with
speed limit and special zones for
bathers. It all becomes compatible
with the preservation of the environment.
Located
between the Alt and Baix Emporda,
is one of the few inhospitable places
of the Costa Brava. The symbol of
the town is the Montgrí castle,
placed on the summit of the Montgrí
mountain, from where you can enjoy
a great overview: on the one hand,
the Canigó, Les Gavarres
massif and the Montseny; on the
other hand, the sea and, specially,
the Medes Islands.

Cadiretes
Massif is a natural space that in
the Costa Brava spreads along the
municipal areas of Tossa
de Mar, Sant Feliu
de Guíxols and Santa
Cristina d'Aro. When the
Massif gets to the sea it becomes
a savage coast of great beauty.
The highest point is the Mount of
Cadiretes (518 meters). It also
has a very rich cultural heritage
- dolmens, hermitages and castles..-
All together with cliffs, coves
and landscapes of spectacular beauty.

The
massif of les Gavarres is situated
between the Gironès and Baix
Empordà zones; in the Costa
Brava it spreads along the municipalities
of Calonge, Palamós,
Palafrugell, Castell-Platja
d'Aro and Santa
Cristina d'Aro.
You can
find big country houses, beautiful
Romanesque churches, and many megalithic
tombs.
Its highest point is the Arques
mount (532 meters high).
